The Malabo Marathon features four race categories, the 5km Fun Run, the 10km Race, the Half Marathon and the Full Marathon. Each of the races starts and finishes at different times along the iconic Paseo Marítimo in Malabo.

The course takes runners from the Paseo's starting point, along the sparkling Atlantic coastline, all the way to the entrance of the Port. The route then loops back with strategically placed out-and-back detours, ensuring a scenic and engaging race experience.
There are Four Aid stations with Water and Bananas on the course
1. The Malabo Marathon event will commence at 5:30 AM and conclude at 12:30 PM. All participants must complete their race within this time frame to be eligible for official results and awards.

2. Participants in the 10K Race, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon must use a tracking device (e.g., smartwatch, running app on a smartphone) to record their run time and route. At the end of the race, runners must present their recorded run time and map from their tracking devices to race officials in order to receive their Finisher Medals. The data provided by the tracking device will be verified by race officials to ensure compliance with the race requirements.
3. All participants must wear their assigned running bibs visibly on the front of their attire throughout the entire race.
The bib must remain intact and legible for the duration of the event. Tampering with or altering the bib in any way is strictly prohibited. Failure to wear the bib as required may result in disqualification from the race.
4. Participants are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect towards fellow runners, volunteers, and race officials at all times. Runners must follow the designated course and obey all instructions . Shortcuts or unauthorized deviations from the course will lead to disqualification.
Participants should be mindful of their own safety and that of others. Any runner who requires medical assistance during the race should alert a nearby official or fellow runner.

6. Any breach of these rules and regulations may result in disqualification, at the discretion of race officials.
By registering for the Malabo Marathon, all participants agree to adhere to these rules and regulations. The event organizers reserve the right to modify these rules as necessary to ensure a fair and safe race experience for everyone involved.
